Solar Applications Team Lead

Maxim Integrated is looking for an Applications Team Leader in an exciting and growing solar products group. With the exponential growth of solar industry, this would be an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about a cleaner tomorrow and desire to contribute with their skillset towards it. The successful candidate would be definitely a doer with enthusiastic work attitude, excellent communication skills and available to travel in the U.S. or abroad (10% - 20% travel estimated).

Key responsibilities

* Solar Applications team leadership in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Team is responsible for system level validation, customer s technical adoption and product integration, and all aspects of technical marketing.

* Develop systems and processes to improve team execution and quality of deliverables

* Hands-on participation in technical activities

* Participate in product definition with a focus on customer and industry requirements

* Manage corporate field engineering resources to serve as an extension of Solar product line

Minimum Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications

The candidate would ideally have an advanced degree in electrical, mechanical, or other photovoltaic related engineering field. Additional skillsets desired include team leadership, new product development, and technical document creation.
Technical skills in one or more of the following areas:

* Power electronics and/or communications for solar applications (DC Optimizers, Micro-inverters, Standard Inverters, Monitoring Equipment)

* PV modeling (Production performance, PV Cell modeling, PV system modeling)

* Software programming experience in C, Matlab, or Labview or similar languages

* Practical PV array design, commissioning, and debugging knowledge, familiarity with PV test equipment and techniques

* Prior experience working with solar power systems and various Balance of System components

* Working knowledge with relevant safety and performance standards such UL, IEC or NEC
