JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Description:
We are looking for military veterans to be part of our construction program, dedicated to building commercial scale solar projects. The job location is at the Los Angeles Port in San Pedro. This is a prevailing wage Union job, with great pay and a chance to train while on the job. Job Duties: Veterans will be trained to install racking systems, welding and the new solar strap technology. Must have: An Honorable Discharge or General under Honorable Conditions (as it reads on your DD214) or for Reservist, Statement of Service from your Reserve Command. Must pass a Drug Test. Construction / Labor / Solar experience is preferred, but is not necessary to apply. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles, and will be asked to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis. She or he may be required to climb a ladder to a height of 15 feet daily and must be able to work productively while wearing a harness. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
