Solution Engineer

As part of North American operations organization, support planning, design and implementation of mobile/wireless messaging solutions for network operators; perform complex professional services including Managed Services, Network Transformation and System Integration for company's mobile messaging solutions across all mobile/wireless technologies; design, define and integrate complex multivendor solutions; implement customized products, features and requirements; deliver cloud and other hosted or managed services; drive lab verification, interoperability testing and homologation of solutions into the clients existing telecommunication or greenfield networks; supplement CSI-led First Office Application teams; work collaboratively with the project team and third parties to understand and refine contracted deliverables and scope changes through the project cycle, including understanding of complex operator network topologies such as geo-redundancy and distributed architecture; transfer solution knowledge and expertise to the support center(s) responsible for post-project SLA's and provide follow-up solution support, as necessary; engage directly with customers in lab and production environment on all technical aspects of the project; interface with customer technical staff and build relationships and reputation for Acision's Professional Services capabilities; work with project technical lead for technical direction, clarification, or midcourse direction changes/adaptations; coordinate with Acision BU's, sustaining, and third parties for remedy to project issues, such as defects; write detailed SI MOPS, Integration Plans, and other technical documentation relevant to the Professional Service being delivered.

Must have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or IT-related field and 2 years of experience in job offered, or 2 years of experience in the telecommunications industry deploying and supporting wireless networks or performing software implementation. Stated experience must include: basic shell scripting; working with TDMA, CDMA or GSM/DCS technology standards; working with HP Open VMS/or Unix or Linux Operating systems; configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting switching, routing and content distribution; and using TCP/IP protocols, such as M3UA, SUA, SIP or Diameter. 25% travel required.
