The Solutions Architect will work as a primary resource to the customer by providing:

* DISCOVERY: Follows a highly adaptive self-defined method to work with customers and understand their business and technical roadmap
* DIAGNOSIS: Collaboratively explores customers' business problems and how they relate to technical solutions, including the client's applications and their relationship to our products & services
* DESIGN: Helps customers understand proposed solutions and how they fit the client's strategic objectives, recommends approaches inclusive of our products and services
* DELIVER: Work with internal teams to ensure solutions are executable and work with account team to ensure solution is delivered technically correct

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Work closely with client's senior management to define and create overall IT roadmap
* Ensure all initiatives are in line with the overall customer and client's IT roadmap
* Liaise between the client, when possible, client's application groups and internal organizations to assure supportability of proposed IT solutions and services
* Act as the Trusted Advisor and Subject Matter Expert for all IT initiatives for the customer's environment related to services
* Work with Client and Internal teams on the management of the environment's capacity and capacity trends
* Develop white papers-proposals of solutions recommended
* Provide recommendations and proposals to client senior management on solutions to improve service levels and operational efficiencies
* Attend regular meetings within customer's organization/s to identify, architect and recommend solutions
* Become the account's technical advocate for client
* Engage and work with product to refine, present and modify Federal product by working with the appropriate product teams and leveraging lab resources for POC's and validation

APPROXIMATE BREAKDOWN OF TIME SPENT (%) ON DIFFERING TASKS:
WORKING ON DOCUMENTATION MAINTENANCE (45%)

* Maintaining accurate documentation for the customer's environments is critical to troubleshooting, contract renewals and the addition of new services
* Tools Used: Visio, SharePoint, OpsWare, SSH Clients if access is provided
* Required detailed technical knowledge of client's (Telecom) products and their supporting infrastructure through provided training and workshops that are more focused on technical content rather than sales

WORKING WITH THE CLIENTS TECHNICAL RESOURCES UNDERSTAND CUSTOMER APPLICATIONS (35%)

* Influence buying decisions by helping to craft an RFP based on the solutions
* Working hand in hand to understand the business needs to be able to influence what the RFP would look like to appeal to the organic growth of the customer
* Packaging with CE in mind to be able to deliver a package to the sales team to move forward with

REVIEWING NEW CONTRACTS (25%)

* Develop detailed architectural drawings to deploy new products and services or integrate new products and services into an existing customer environment
* Understand the solution and uncover what the goal is of the service or product we are delivering
* Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure all deliverables are met
