The solutions architect (SA) is the key resource to ensure that the technology will deliver what the client (business) wants. This is accomplished by having the solutions architect involved in the sales process. The SA is charged with developing the high level architecture for the client in the form of a "story book" that is consumed by the business analysts. Therefore the SA is involved throughout the entire lifecycle from sales to support.PROBLEMS AND CHALLENGES

The solutions architect's greatest challenge is ensuring that the design of the Alegeus systems will work as expected in the client's environment. This is complicated by the many potential integration points with other systems and processes. Due to the nature of the SA role, it is important that the SA is closely aligned with the development and product team to understand the current state of product development. Because the SA is responsible for ensuring the technology will deliver the expected results, they should be actively involved in the sales cycle to align and set expectations.
