Spa Treatment Manager Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is the award-winning owner and operator of some of the finest hotels. This position is located in The Americas, Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta; luxury hotel comprises 127 spacious guestrooms and suites, providing guests with unparalleled views of the city. Facilities include an all-day dining restaurant and lounge bar, as well as a wide selection of meeting rooms, including a 130-seat ballroom. The extensive spa facilities are complete with 14 treatment rooms and will feature signature therapies for which Mandarin Oriental spas are renowned. Overview The Spa Treatment Manager is responsible for the overall supervision of treatment operations including; certifications, licensing, product and equipment care and staff training. Reassuring that the Legendary Quality Experiences are met and exceeded in every way at all times before during and after treatment. The incumbent for this position will take full responsibility of all aspects application of all treatments provided by the professional staff member to insure the guest is receiving the highest level of care possible and insure the experience is above and beyond the expectation of the guest. The Spa Treatment Manager reports directly to the Spa Director and is responsible for supervising the therapists and technician. Duties Responsible for all operational procedures within the spa to ensure effective day to day management. Responsible for the setting down and instigating of all policies and objectives within the spa. To supervise and conduct the safety of users and equipment of the spa and to ensure that the Health and safety Policy and procedures are implemented and monitored in particular with relation to cleanliness. Reading through the many essentials e-mails that deal regarding spa, meetings, groups, and VIP's. Frequent checks of equipment and facilities to ensure safety and prevent loss of equipment To ensure operational flow, discuss any issues, and provide information of special attention guest and groups that may be in house Review log of trainings completed by head therapist. Review monthly training schedule. Attending morning Communication Meeting, Resume Meetings, and Pre-Cons and communicating necessary information to Spa Management team Interview prospective candidates for various positions in the Spa by following strict guidelines and Criteria set up by Human Resource. Requirements Minimum of 5 years prior experience Spa Supervisor or Assistant Manager in a luxury environment Background in Massage Therapy or Esthetics is required Written and verbal proficiency in the English language. Work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks. Must have mathematical skills, technical aptitude and spa operation knowledge. Must have basic knowledge of computer programs including Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office Administration, Power Point and Internet applications. (ref. 48341)
