AEgis is seeking highly qualified Space Systems Engineer for support of multiple Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) programs. Candidate will assist in the development of candidate architectures which are more resilient to emerging threats and/or are more affordable than existing architectures and systems. Candidate will also perform detailed analysis to bolster/support investment decisions, orbit characterization, performance, resilience, costing, tradespace characterization, and requirements mapping. Candidate will be responsible for developing and validating credible and repeatable processes for measuring and evaluating the resiliency of architecture and identifying and utilizing DoD and industry best practices.
Success Factors (Success factors are simply the results we want this person to deliver, in order for us to consider this person a successful hire):
30 days: Candidate will successfully complete in processing of all secure related activities resulting in access to Gov t resources.
60 days: Candidate will be able to successfully characterize issues relating to candidate architectures.
90 days: Candidate will be able to identify, understand, and incorporate future science and technology capabilities into documented roadmap and architectures.
There are multiple positions available. Candidate must have a Bachelor s or Master s degree in an Engineering or other related field and a minimum of 10 years experience in performing systems engineering functions. The ideal candidate will have experience in dealing with space architectures and developing roadmaps and architectures for improving analytic force structure modernization planning by incorporating future science and technology capabilities. Candidate must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance. Current SSBI highly desirable. Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills. Demonstrated ability to be part of a cohesive team and deliver the highest quality service. Can handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
