Top Secret SCI Location Reston, VA % Travel Relocation No RecruiterID: 3676 Requirements SAIC's Mission Integration Business Unit (MIBU) currently has an opening for a Spanish Linguist. CLEARANCE: Must currently possess a minimum Secret with the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI. RESPONSIBILITIES: Linguists interpret oral communication from English and Target Language, to include but not limited to consecutive, escort, telephonic and voiceovers. Interpreter forums may include meetings, conferences, briefings, training, military operations, and intelligence and operations support. Linguists translate written, electronic and multi media material from English to Target Languages. The materials include: business, legal, medical and technical documents, audio and video. Services also include: formatting, proofreading, text adaptation, editing, data entry (database population) and word processing. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: A HS diploma or GED is required. Four years of general work experience is required. Proof of 3/3/3 (R/L/S) as measured by the DLPT or the US State Dept Language test for the target language as well as English is required (4/4/4 desired). THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS: Experience deployed as a linguist supporting contingency operations, management and training experience, knowledge of U.S. Intelligence Community, experience using Microsoft Office applications, able to communicate effectively orally and in writing in Target and English, able to provide skilled proofreading, extensive experience in word processing, typing, editing, using office machines, and databasing, ability to provide input in the production of written reports developed from capture material utilizing the Target Language, such as provide a gist, summary, transcript or written translation of the material, ability to conduct consecutive, accurate translation/interpretation of on going conversations/activities, to include the ability to maintain the integrity and meaning of material.
