This position is primarily responsible for collecting delinquent commercial accounts, preparing and compiling documentation, preparing concise correspondence, records and reports, determining appropriate collection strategies, providing supervision when appropriate and instructed and instituting legal action.
Collects delinquent commercial accounts by following established departmental collection procedures of locating past due borrowers, distributing demand letters, contacting the borrower to establish payment procedures and utilizing effective human relations skills and other forms of persuasions to obtain payments.
Notifies borrowers of their rights and the amount due monitoring to ensure the borrower's commitment to pay and obtaining payments while presenting a positive image of the Bank.
Prepares and compiles documentation of all collection actions taken, such as telephone conversations, alternative financial arrangements, letters mailed, conversations with borrowers, correspondence with loan officers by telephone or letter, etc.
Documents collection actions, prepares list of past due loans and ensures adherence with due diligence accurately and timely. Recommends to the Manager of Special Assets - B2B those accounts that require transfer to a Special Assets Officer - B2B for further collection activity. Assists the Special Assets Officer - B2B in the determination of appropriate collection strategy.
Prepares concise correspondence, records and reports, establishes and maintains delinquent account records, updates files, documents payments received, reviews records and transactions, resolves misapplied payments, researches transactions, organizes and summarizes information and data and does so accurately and timely for all portfolios.
