Under general supervision, according to professional standards, evaluates the therapy needs of patients experiencing speech dysfunctions due to neurological impairment, developmental delay or other cause. Plans and conducts speech therapy treatments designed to improve, correct or alleviate speech, language, fluency or voice disorder. Qualifications: Master s degree in Speech Pathology; certificate of clinical competence from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or eligible with one year clinical experience under direction of Certified Speech Pathologist; the analytical abilities necessary to evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, evaluate progress and develop alternatives as necessary; the interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with patients in sensitive, anxiety producing situations explaining treatment methods and purposes; ability to communicate and cooperate with other members of the health care team.
