Job Summary:The Speech Language Pathologist provides evaluation, planning, and implementation of speech therapy services for patients to facilitate the rehabilitation and/or development of speech, language, cognition and oral motor disorders. The person in this position serves as an educational coordinator for patients on the rehabilitation service. He/she shall also provide supervision to the rehab aide, speech language pathology fellows, interns and students. This position will be part of the craniofacial team.
Minimum Qualifications:Licensure: Valid licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist by the Speech Language Pathology and Audiology Board of California.Experience: 6-12 months experience preferred. Experience or internship in rehabilitation, pediatrics, and/or acute hospital setting also preferred. Experience with patients with cleft lip and palate preferred.Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal skills, time management, problem solving and self-initiation skills.
