Job Title: In-Room Dining Server (IRD) Department: Food & Beverage Reports to: Restaurant Manager Key Duties & Responsibilities: Exhibit professionalism with appearance and speech Answer all IRD phone calls with pleasant tone and professional language Uniform (black shift, black slacks, black nonslip shoes, black apron Body language / posture / expression Professional appearance Proactively offer menu items and beverages rather than seeking orders Familiarization with IRD menu, late night menu, and restaurant menu, specials, and knowledge of other product and services offered within establishment. Familiarization with serving time of each part of the menu (Breakfast, Lunch/Dinner, Late Night) Deliver all IRD orders with professionalism and timeliness Deliver all amenity requests with professionalism and timeliness Refill all snack baskets and report missing items to front desk Seek to enhance the experience of all guests by providing relevant information Up sell products and beverages Inform management of any out-of-date menus or issues with micros Always repeat every order, including room number, back to each guest Offer assistance to satisfy guest request. If requests cannot be granted immediately, provide and approximate time when the request will be satisfied. Anticipate any guest needs Acknowledge any guest within 10 feet; greet any guest within 5 feet Communicate to front desk about any guest needs unable to be fulfilled by the Food and Beverage department Deliver warm and sincere conversation including guest name Always receive permission before entering a guest's room and always make sure the door is left propped open Non-script dialogue, especially while delivering an order Offer thanks and ask if there are any other ways to be of service Use guest name Deliver all orders in a timely and professional manner Including all necessary condiments on an In-room dining tray Napkins, silverware, cups, cream, sugar, ketchup, mustard, tabasco, etc. Use clean and polished equipment at all times Properly stock IRD closet with clean equipment Including folded napkins, polished silverware, filled salt and pepper shakers, and unfolded napkins Weekly cleaning of IRD closet to maintain cleanness Assist fellow employees in restaurant Help servers/food runners/bussers in any tasks Including drink refills, bussing tables, pre-bussing tables, emptying buss tubs, cleaning glass wear, running food to customers, seat customers, greet customers Exhibit safety and security practices, and demonstrate sensitivity to personal information and belongings Process any payments with sensitivity to personal information Present check to customer in bill fold immediately when taking order to guest's room Process payment immediately when returning from guest's room Knowledge of emergency procedure and emergency responders' contact information Perform any other job related tasks as directed by the management * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Job Title: Barista Department: Food & Beverage Reports To: Restaurant Manager Responsibilities: Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers; selling coffee, coffee grinding & brewing equipment, accessories, supplies, preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks. Job Duties: Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs. Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering any questions. Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as espresso, espresso lungo, caffe latte and cappuccino. Generates revenues by attracting new customers. Maintains inventories by stocking and maintaining supplies. Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies and performing preventive maintenance. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations. Enhances reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
