ABOUT THE ROLE:

SimplexGrinnell is a global leader in the design, manufacture, installation, and service of a comprehensive array of networked and integrated fire alarm and suppression, security, and communications systems. Our continued success and growth has produced a need for a Service Coordinator in our New Orleans, LA location.

Job Description:
The qualified candidate will be an integral part in the continued success and growth of the Service Department. This position requires a high energy level with a focus toward customers and a strong desire to succeed. Good organizational skills, attention to detail and excellent communication skills are required. Assistance with coordinating and scheduling quoted general service work, preparing and submitting paperwork for invoicing service calls. Perform a variety of customer service/dispatching and administrative duties required by management to ensure customer satisfaction.
DUTIES:

Working with multiple scheduling systems.
Take ownership of customer service issues, escalating issues to supervisors and technicians as needed.
Reassign work as needed, making judgments based on current workloads & priorities.
Contact customer to communicate status changes.
Validate and assist central billing team with invoicing transactions for service calls in ACE daily.
Maintain confidentiality of customer and employer information at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School or equivalent
3-5 years experience in customer service/dispatching and or customer service experience
Proficient with computers, Windows applications (Oracle experience a plus)
Detailed oriented
Effective communicator with all levels of customers, staff and management
Ability to work under pressure
Excellent written & oral communication skills.
Excellent inter-personal skills and customer service skills.
Must have exceptional organizational skills, willing to learn, deadline-oriented.
Previous related experience a definite plus.



Minimum Qualifications:
High school or equivalent
Working knowledge of Windows applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
3 years experience in customer service/dispatching preferred.
