The primary purpose of the Senior Account Executive is to manage day to day relationships with existing customers focusing on retaining current business lines and identifying new opportunities within those accounts. The Senior Account Executive will coordinate strategies and activities with Sales Executives and their DSD to achieve sales quotas. Senior Account Executives will support the DSD in managing other members of the team, training and/or other administrative functions.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Manage existing revenue stream (accountable for approximately $2 to $4 million in revenue
Identify new opportunities and work with appropriate UHS resources to move deals through the sales funnel
Thorough account management, upsell and cross-sell addition UHS solutions
Ensure customer satisfaction resulting in acceptable scores on any and all surveys
Understand and articulate UHS value proposition to UHS customers
Ability to interface with hospital administration and other executive levels
Design and execute a territory plan with an appropriate mix of UHS products and services
Work with district Operations team to manage customer expectations
Provide management and training support to other team members
Other administrative duties as assigned by the DSD
Maintain open and constant communication with Operations team to ensure customer satisfaction
Coach mentor and develop 1-3 AE s as assigned by DSD.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS
Working knowledge of CRM funnel and account management processes processes
Be SME in the Division on sales process, PSS and Customer Specific Value Prop.
Insure consistency on sales approach, collateral, slide deck, literature.
Ability to accurately forecast new business opportunities
Ability to maintain communication with other departments within organization to ensure timely and accurate recording of accounting events
Customer-focused, service-oriented attitude
Willingness to strive for efficiencies
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Time management and organizational skills
Clinical background and/or product knowledge preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
6-10 years sales and account management experience
Demonstrated history of customer retention and growth
Desire to advance career through leadership, management and training opportunities
Healthcare, hospital industry, medical equipment, sales or services preferred
B.S. or B.A. in marketing, communications, business or related field required
Advanced degree preferred
Must have valid driver s license
Overnight travel may be required
Position requires sitting, standing, lifting, bending and stooping throughout the day
