Senior Account Manager

The account manager is an integral part of the Pelco commitment to winning and maintaining life- long customers through unmatched customer service and responsiveness. The AM is the Pelco representative for direct, indirect, and distribution accounts in an assigned territory.


* STRATEGY/EXECUTION PLAN


* ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT Meets with senior and executive management at key accounts to develop both joint strategic and tactical annual plans that have measured execution to the plan throughout the year. Ensures account is in good financial standing with respect to credit and manages any escalated issues to ensure adequate resolution. Develops account action plans to ensure dealers, Integrators, and distribution partners are capable of finding, selling, installing, and managing end user opportunities with Pelco product.

* SALES COVERAGE - Meets frequently with key personnel at accounts, partners, and 3rd party collaborators to discuss opportunities, training needs, marketing needs, and strategies for growing the Pelco business. Aggressively follows up on all leads and devise cooperative action plans to foster Pelcos best odds of success.

* PRODUCT Becomes expert on the Pelco product portfolio and processes and conducts product demonstrations to prospective dealers, distributors, and end users. BDM has the ability to assist in project value engineering, product placement, and specification reviews.

* TERRITORY ANIMATION Develops a strategic event and marking plan for the territory to include and executes to achieve annual objectives. Provides quarterly updates to management and the rest of the Pelco sales team.



* ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS


* AM works with Pelco authorized dealers, distribution branches, and indirect dealers to find and close sales opportunities involving Pelco product.

* AM coordinates other Pelco resources including regional management, marketing assets, pre-sales engineering and technical support resources, and others to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.

* AM updates dealers, integrators, distribution partners and their staff on new Pelco product introductions as well as conducting product demonstrations for end users and at local and regional trade shows.

* AM participates in business development activities by keeping abreast of competitive threats and opportunities, maintaining territory situational awareness, identifying key competitive resellers to win and participating in local industry associations that can provide sources for new leads.

* AM maintains an accurate sales funnel and provides updates on a regular basis to regional sales manager and team.

* Creates partnerships with other Schneider BUs in territory to assist in overall Schneider sales and allow this to support Pelco sales.

* AM is responsible for his/her empowerment to make decisions with in the territory for the best interest of the companys customers and Pelco by Schneider Electric.


* TRAVEL: AM will spend sufficient time in the field to effectively perform his job functions. It is expected this will require at a minimum 15% travel.

Minimum 5 years experience in industry
MD/ DC market experience preferred
Existing relationships within A&E, contractor, and distributor markets
Strong presentation skills and client facing business acumen
Ability to accurately manage sales pipeline
