Job Description

Enthusiastic, self-motivated Senior Accountant with a solid technical accounting background. Prepares, maintains, analyzes and interprets accounting records for the company's research and development activities.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform key accounting responsibilities for the company's research and development activities
- Execute the month-end close process by preparing general ledger journal entries and reconciling and analyzing select balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Work with members of Financial Planning & Analysis team to evaluate financial activity
- Assist with preparation of appropriate Sarbanes-Oxley cycle narratives and tests of internal controls
- Participate in year-end and interim audits
- Assist in special projects as needed and coordinate various ad hoc projectsQUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 3-6 years of related accounting experience
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Strong financial accounting, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Good communication skills, especially with other members of accounting team
- Prior experience working with tight deadlines and demonstrated responsibility for accuracy and timeliness for work performed
- R&D accounting experience preferred
- Oracle experience preferred
