As a member of Agilent Labs Molecular Detection Laboratory, you will join a multidisciplinary team developing state-of-the-art imaging and spectroscopy technologies. We are looking for your talent and expertise in electrical engineering to expand the footprint of Agilent's spectroscopy platforms. The ideal candidate will have recent academic or commercial experience developing instrumentation hardware. Typical responsibilities for this position include the following:
- Design, simulate, prototype, and debug novel analog and mixed signal electrical circuits
- Work cooperatively with product divisions to better understand their product roadmaps and future technical needs
- Engage multiple projected teams to identify ways in which novel circuit designs can create opportunities for unique differentiation in instrumentation hardware
- Present results of your research in regular program reviews to Agilent Labs management, the broader technical staff, and business unit collaborators
- Continuously monitor and interact with academic research labs engaged in leading edge development of novel circuit topologies and new data converters.
Qualifications:
- M.S. in Electrical Engineering
- 8+ years of post graduate academic or industrial research experience in precision analog circuit design.
- Ability to collaborate across an interdisciplinary team to develop start of the art test and measurement hardware.
- Deep knowledge of analog circuit simulation tools like TINA or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability rapidly improve designs by iterating through prototype and debug cycle.
- Demonstrated track record of novel research via publications, patents, etc.
The following additional skills/experiences are highly desired:
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in using Mentor for the generation of electrical schematics.
- Established track record designing high precision data converter circuits.
- Experience with the operation and drive of piezoelectric devices.
