Senior Functional Analyst - Oracle, BI and Data Acquisition System

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

* Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on an existing suite of complex applications.

* Perform Designs and Analysis on business systems applications, systems interfaces, databases, reporting, or business intelligence systems

* Build Solutions, and Translate requirements into detailed functional design specifications.

* Facilitate/lead design reviews (walkthroughs) of functional design with other members of the technical team, communicating design, requirements, feature set, functionality.

* Partner with architecture and development resources to ensure the Business Requirements are met by the proposed and delivered solution(s)

* Provide SME level guidance to Development and Application support teams during development and deployment phases.

* Provide accurate estimates of effort and timelines for completion of assigned tasks.

* Ability to conduct peer reviews to solicit feedback on materials created

* Plan, facilitate, and participate in working sessions with cross-functional resources

Must have expertise:

* Expert on Oracle (11g and 10g)

* PL/SQL, (SQL Optimizer)

* Datamart - large volumes of data

Min Required Skills and Competencies:

* Expert at designing/developing complex PL/SQL queries on the Oracle platform.

* Minimum 7 Years Application Development Experience in building and designing complex multi-tiered applications

* Minimum 7 years Oracle design and development (PL/SQL) experience with Min. of 3 years on Oracle 10g, 11g.

* Minimum 7 years professional experience designing and developing applications on at least one of: Oracle or SQL Server

* Minimum 7 years professional experience designing and developing applications on at least one of: Unix or Windows

* Working knowledge of logical and physical database design and implementation

* General understanding of ETL process.

* Awareness of system modeling tools including: ER diagrams, Dimensional Data Models, Context Models, Event Modeling, and State Modeling.

* Demonstrate thorough working knowledge of the system development life cycle and can train others on SDLC concepts.

Education/Qualifications:

* A four year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering
