TITLE

Senior Analyst, IS Security

LOCATION

Orrville, OH (Greater Cleveland/Akron area)

REPORTS TO

Leader, IS Security

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Monitor security incident and event management (SIEM) and logging environments for security events and alerts to potential (or active) threats, intrusions, and/or compromises

* Collaborate with technical teams to identify, resolve, and mitigate events

* Escalate security events according to the Smucker Incident Response Plan

* Assist with triage of service requests from our internal customers

* Assist with containment of threats and remediation of environment during or after an incident

* Collaborate with IS and business teams to complete Internal Risk Assessments

* Collaborate with technical teams to identify critical vulnerabilities and facilitate Patch Management

* Document event analysis and write comprehensive reports of incident investigations

* Review public threat bulletins, warnings, and advisories to maintain up-to-date knowledge of the IT security industry, including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes, and the development of new attacks and threat vectors

* Contribute to the development, collection and communication of operational security metrics

* Provide continuous updating of security metrics as required

* Contribute to the development and maintenance of Smucker security standards, procedures and good security practices.

* Promote compliance with Smucker security principles, policies, standards, guidelines, and good security practices and escalate non-compliant activities to IS leadership; leverage the opportunity to increase security awareness

* Represent the IS Risk Management team on projects within the IS project portfolio, providing security, risk and control guidance to the project team and business customers

* Member of the IS Risk Management Community of Practice, including content development and delivery

SELECTION CRITERIA

Education

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field or related experience

* Professional certifications in information security or related areas preferred

Experience

* 3-5 years of Information Security, information systems, or equivalent experience

* Strong foundation and in-depth technical knowledge of fundamental security, network, and web concepts and technologies (Operating systems, intrusion detection, TCP/IP, ports, etc.)

* Strong familiarity with Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems preferred

* Fundamental familiarity with writing code/scripts

* Familiarity with Security Incident & Event Management Systems (SIEM)
