Job Responsibilities:
Works within the Performance & Reporting team to analyze and report on daily and periodic performance, performance attribution, and performance-related statistics for all Equity, Fixed Income, REITS and Fund of Funds portfolios by utilizing Eagle PACE Performance, FactSet Performance Analysis and SPAR, Barclay's Point, Wilshire Axiom, SSIA (State Street Investment Analytics).
Utilizes EAGLE PACE Performance reporting/query tools to respond to requests for data from Front Office and to create ad hoc performance reports/analyses.
Works within the Performance & Reporting team and independently on daily and periodic performance and reporting and ad hoc problem resolution/research into performance and performance attribution data anomalies.
Works closely with AM Data Distribution, AM Marketing and other internal teams to service periodic and ad hoc client-facing requests for fund and benchmark performance, characteristic and analytical data.
Prepares performance and analytical reports for Board, Senior Management and Client-Facing staff.
Participates in special and strategic projects along with members of the Performance team and other members of AM Services.Qualifications
Skills Required:
Experience with Fixed Income and Equity performance attribution applications such as Barclay's Point, Wilshire Axiom and FactSet Portfolio Analytics is preferred. Working knowledge of these tools is required.
Specific knowledge of total return performance calculations, risk statistics and performance attribution methodologies for Equity and Fixed Income asset classes including Derivatives is required.
Experience with EAGLE PACE Performance a plus.
Advanced PC skills: MS Office, relational database knowledge (Oracle, SQL), industry analytic tools (FactSet, Bloomberg, Barclay's Point, Axiom). VB (Visual Basic) skills a plus.
Broad understanding of all equity and fixed income asset classes and strategies especially structured security types (ABS, MBS, CMBS, RMBS), long/short strategies and derivatives.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Solid interpersonal, teamwork and relationship building skills.
Must be precise, thorough and detail oriented, with expertise in effectively reviewing extensive amounts of data and information.
Ability to recognize issues and to recommend changes to processes and approaches to improve efficiency.
Ability to work well within a daily, production, team-oriented environment where training will be provided by team members.
Experience:
3 to 5 years in a performance analysis or performance attribution function within a financial services organization is required.
BA/BS required. CFA/CFA candidate or CIPM certificant a plus.
