The Sr. Analyst, Pricing and Merchant Analytics is responsible for analysis and execution of the BU pricing strategies that improves the consumer's price-value perception of SHC's everyday, clearance, and promotional pricing while improving sales and margin. This role also supports the analytic needs of the Business Unit related to category management. The ideal candidate for this role will be:
* A strategic thinker who is dynamic, proactive, results-oriented, and can influence change
* Able to work and communicate effectively with both their peers, SHC leadership, and external support groups to gain support for the execution of the strategies and initiatives that support the Business Unit pricing strategies.
* Have highly developed financial acumen and a clear commitment to financial accountability.
* A pricing and analytic professional with a thorough understanding of the drivers of price perception, category business planning, and the development of data-centric merchant analytics.

() Implements Business Unit pricing strategies for everyday, promotional, and clearance pricing.
() Collaborates with Category Managers, Pricing Team, and Store Operations to develop insights based on pricing data
() Coordinates with leaders to identify and prioritize areas for analysis
() Gathers data and performs complex analysis manipulating large data sets to create thoughtful, robust business analyses
() Analyzes issues, develops insights and formulates data based hypotheses
() Develops and implementation of best-in-class analytic tools that support the core category business planning processes.
() Leverages 3rd party information (primarily AC Nielsen) to enhance the availability of actionable category insights.
() Develops financial models and scenarios that drive strategy recommendations.
() Prepares pricing related recommendations, financial business cases and presentations for senior management
() Leads small groups of individuals in support of specific pricing initiatives
() Performs other duties as assigned, including ad hoc reporting
() Knowledge of or willingness to learn SQL

() Knowledge of or willingness to learn SQL
() Familiarity with standard customer insights techniques such as: qualitative and quantitative market research, marketing analytics, statistical and economic modeling, customer segmentation, and customer profitability analysis
() Highly skilled in problem solving especially in situations of high ambiguity
() Ability to apply analytical rigor to understand complex business scenarios
() Superior Access and Excel skills, basic PowerPoint skills, as well as familiarity with other database standards and protocols
