SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

* As a Client Systems Architect, you will be responsible for working with our global IT teams and internal business customers to consult, guide and educate them on the services we provide and technologies in use. This includes translating business needs and opportunities into viable project proposals and enhancements to existing systems.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB FUNCTIONS

Connects with the users and sponsors and all other stakeholders in order to determine their needs.

Working with our customers and project teams and advising them on key architectural decisions concerning the platform and the supporting technologies.

Provides management and support for the day-to-day operations, monitoring, and on-going maintenance of enterprise-wide Citrix infrastructure services.

Analyze and resolve technical issues with Citrix servers and clients, software applications, and technical configurations.

Develops or establishes strong relationships with service providers.

Signing off system requirements, identifying resources and estimating timelines for project completion.

Producing and documenting technical architectures that are modifiable, dependable and scalable.

Provide guidance, mentoring, assistance and development to colleagues on cross training and technical development of staff.

May be required to travel to other sites domestically and internationally.

Must be quality oriented and ensure all work streams are aligned with company and IT compliance standards.

Work cross-functionally as a key contributor to the overall success of a global dynamic IT function to participate in projects from concept to deployment. Manage the planning, development, design, validation and implementation of assigned projects, including scope, work breakdown, schedules, budget and delivery.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Demonstrates a strong understanding of the current and future technology architecture, including the inter-operability of technologies, within the areas of client and mobile computing.
Maintains up to date knowledge of leading edge technologies and how they can be applied to own area.

The Client Systems Architect should have deep experience with:
Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop
Citrix Netscaler

The Client Systems Architect should have experience with at least one of the following technologies:
VMware vSphere and Horizon
Mobile Iron or other enterprise MDM solutions
Remote Desktop Services
Strong knowledge of Windows 7, 8 or 10
Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2008/R2, 2012/R2 or 2016.
Good working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, LDAP, Kerberos, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, WMI, and SNMP.

Education & Experience:
Typical candidates will possess:
8+ years of relevant experience and BA/BS Degree or equivalent
OR
6+ years of relevant experience, with an advanced degree or equivalent
Citrix certification (CCA, CCP, CCE, CCN) an advantage.
Previous experience working in a regulated environment with knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, and other regulatory requirements a plus.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including writing of procedural documentation and technical specifications.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
