JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Senior Associate Director directs the systems and personnel responsible for expanding and monitoring the pipeline of new prospects and current donors for MBSD. This includes: assigning prospects to fundraisers; monitoring and measuring the size of fundraisers' prospect portfolios; and developing and overseeing prospect screening initiatives. To stimulate fundraising productivity and activity, s/he helps to track the Prospect Management and fundraising progress towards annual goals for each fundraiser and the office as a whole. S/he analyzes data and develops strategies for the maximum gift, optimal timing, and most favorable methodology of making the gift. In doing so, s/he uses the full range of public and private information sources in researching individuals, corporations, and foundations.
The Senior Associate Director leads and participates in departmental strategy meetings in order to provide insight, information and suggested strategy. S/he participates in University wide Principal Gift meetings as appropriate.
S/he oversees creation of appropriate strategic briefings and other research materials for the President and other key University and volunteer leadership in their roles as fundraisers. S/he is a collaborative partner in sharing information, policies and best practices with Prospect Research colleagues university-wide.
The Senior Associate Director will create and execute strategies to grow the size and value of the qualified prospect pool through the aggressive collection, maintenance and analysis of information for the identification, cultivation and solicitation of prospective donors. S/he collaborates and coordinates with Alumni Relations & Development (ARD) and MBSD colleagues on strategic use of predictive modeling and other analytical tools to prioritize and identify new prospects.
The Senior Associate Director works to ensure that fundraising teams are engaged in the most value-added activities, that prospects receive the attention they need, and that the philanthropic engagement with the UCM prospect pool is maximized over the course of the Campaign. S/he will collaborate and coordinate with leadership in development of gift officer portfolios. S/he collaborates with ARD to promote efficiency, consistent metrics and Griffin data that accurately portrays MBSD. S/he leads the MBSD implementation of University wide prospect management policy about prospect assignment, clearance and stage policies and procedures.
S/he develops and implements proactive strategies for identifying prospective donors. Monitors their cultivation, solicitation and gift closure through the University-wide database, Griffin.
The position is responsible for oversight the research of the patient-screening program, the donor-screening program, and proactive prospect identification goals.
The Senior Associate Director will supervise a team of up to four.
