I am working with a Financial Services company in the El Segundo area looking for a Sr. Business Analyst/BA to join their team. This person must have finance experience. br   br This is a long-term contract. br B   /B br B Senior level experience in: /B br • Business process flow and analysis experience.  Candidate should be comfortable leading discussions to capture business process flows easily and on the spot in meetings.  Six Sigma knowledge/experience a plus in order to identify inefficiencies, redundancies and gaps.  Identify opportunities for change/process improvements.   br   br   br • All phases of lifecycle: project definition, requirements, solution and design, development and testing, implementation. br • Understanding stakeholder objectives and needs through observation, interviewing, workshops and other analysis methods.  This senior person should actively question and challenge discussions to truly identify the business objectives and requirements – should not be an order taker of requirements related to a pre-defined solution. br • Working with business owner, project manager and other senior leaders to develop the project approach. br • Requirements phase estimating and planning. br • Eliciting, organizing and documenting requirements needed to design new systems and/or modify existing systems and preparing related documentation utilizing analytical thinking and procedures br • Create detail specifications for project team members, business users and/or programmers. br • Working with PM and Test lead for test strategy and planning, assisting in writing test cases as is needed and testing programs according to logical structure for the project. br • Being a leader within the project team – not waiting to be led. br • Key contributor to implementation planning br • Facilitating and establishing operational readiness prior to production implementation br • Must have: Financial services industry – brokerage, advisory, rep and end client systems experience br • Preferred:  Experience in HR processes and systems br   br B Standard / Primary Responsibilities: /B br • Works closely with project manager to define project requirements and in identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget. br • Works with project manager as needed to monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions. br • Works with business owner and stakeholders to determine and/or confirm project objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats. br • Facilitates meetings of stakeholders to elicit business, system, functional, and operational requirements.  Seeks and details out  business constraints.   br • Constructs workflows from stakeholder and SME input; incorporates feedback from review sessions into deliverables.  Secures all necessary approvals. br • Collaborates with development team on solution definition, design, and development as needed; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.
