Sr. Business Programmer Analyst

Solves organizational information problems and requirements by analyzing requirements, designing computer programs, recommending system controls and protocols. Work closely with process owners and identify technology solutions that enable business process improvements, new products & service delivery enhancements utilizing SQL, HTML, PowerON programs along with dashboards & report writing.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

45% BUSINESS ANALYSIS & PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
?Works with cross functional technology teams to drive projects forward. Review, analyze, and creates detailed documentation of business systems and user needs, including workflow, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs that are understandable to technical staff.
?Evaluate and provide time/cost analysis for assigned projects and tasks.
?Actively participate in project meetings to help determine solutions or processes needed to accomplish project goal.
?Collaborating on project solutions; including writing, modifying, and testing programs and reports.
?Documenting all steps of the project process and communicating program installation/results to end users.
?Research, solicit, and define user requirements, service requirements and external vendor integrations for projects.
Performs analysis and captures detailed requirements for existing and new application systems.
?Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget.
?Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.

35% SYSTEM OPERATION & MAINTENANCE
?Working knowledge of Episys system and supported platforms; including but not limited to Advance Reporting for Credit Unions (ARCU) and SQL Management Studio.
?Writes or modifies computer programs as assigned and in accordance with documented departmental standards; works with assigned end users in designing, writing, developing and maintaining relational database reports, screens, and outputs.
?Tests and debugs computer programs that have been written or modified or delivered from outside vendors. Writes, tests, develops and implements custom computer programs to streamline financial institution workflow; upgrades these programs as needed to accommodate growing market or personnel structure.
?System maintenance, changes, including documentation as needed to maintain regulatory and best business practices
?Work on the programming needs related to a project using Symitar PowerON, MS SQL, HTML, Adobe Symform, Crystal Reports and other tools

15% MEMBER SERVICE DELIVERY & SUPPORT
?Based on priority; acknowledge and resolve Help Desk tickets and department hotline, assigned to Symitar and related system functions. Tickets/calls will be resolved according to the Info Sys Service Level Agreement (SLA) and will receive satisfactory remarks from feedback survey.
?Provide at all times a professional, courteous, accurate, and timely response to internal member requests.
?Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements.
?Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously

5% TRAINING:
?To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job; participating in appropriate training activities and required classes when assigned.
?On time completion of Individual Learning Plan (ILP) as outlined by Training Department.
?Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional
publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state of the art practices; participating in professional societies.
