Sr Consultant/VP-Cost/Accounting, Washington DC

We are presently seeking an experienced Sr Consultant/VP to join us in Washington, DC to provide construction claims/accounting audit support.

DETAILED JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Candidate will perform accounting analyses of construction costs either to prepare claims or review claims prepared by others Work in cooperation with technical and scheduling consultants to determine the cost and responsibility of project cost and/or cost overruns Draft reports and supporting schedules to demonstrate the effect of the technical conclusions Also includes work to review and enhance accounting procedures for real time project cost accountingRequirements: Prefer experience withDamages analysis Construction cost valuations Overhead analysis Forensic accounting Audits Federal Contract Accounting rules Must have proficiency in MS Office applications Strong writing and communication skills are needed Must have a minimum of 8-10 years relevant experience BS/BA is required, advanced degree is a plus CPA, CCC, CCE, CFE, CFCC, or FCPA required Expert knowledge of construction accounting Ability to work independently
