JOB DESCRIPTION

The Corporate Accountant is a part of a small team reporting to the Controller. The Controller's group is responsible for translation, elimination and consolidation of the international financial statements. In addition the group maintains primary responsibility for the annual external audit, liaison with outsourced tax compliance consultants, accounting policies and procedures, preparation of financial statements for internal and external presentation purposes and leadership of the accounting module. This position will be intimately involved in each of those activities.



Duties/Responsibilities:



* Perform corporate level monthly general ledger close

* Responsible for consolidation, elimination and translation of entity level Financial Statements

* Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions

* Prepare documentation to support year-end close and related audit packages, point of contact for auditor questions

* Develop and administer transfer pricing; main point of contact

* Analyze financial information to recommend or develop procedures and efficient use of resources

* Provide strategic recommendations and solutions to business and financial problems

* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including statement of cash flows

* Provide Information to Outside administrator for monthly, quarterly and annual tax filings

* Responsible for master file set-up: location codes, account groups and allocation

* Maintain Microsoft Access Queries

* Responsible for miscellaneous Government reporting

* Maintain relevant system configurations

* Performs other responsibilities and duties as assigned



Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:



* Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's degree preferred)

* Five years minimum accounting or finance; two years corporate accounting preferred

* Two years minimum public accounting preferred

* Proven expertise in GAAP and their application; IFRS knowledge preferred

* International financial statement consolidation experience preferred

* CPA or in progress certification preferred

* Work collaboratively and build open and honest relationships across the organization

* Required technical skills: Proficient use with MS Office specifically excel, problem solving, and analytical ability
