IT Department Summary:

Forever 21 is seeking innovative, energetic, and passionate Information Technology team members to develop and implement technological solutions for our dynamic retail environment that includes, but is not limited to, point-of-sale and back office applications.

Key Responsibilities:
-Manage multiple projects concurrently, plan to meet project deadlines, accommodate demands by users, set priorities and escalate issues appropriately -Monitor database management systems as well as evaluate database performance to maximize efficiency -Develop maintenance and backup procedures, change control processes and operational documentation -Collaborate with application development teams in working with databases, planning and implementing production changes and query optimization -Perform quality control audits to ensure accuracy completeness and proper usage of data in tables and support tools, such as database dictionaries -Review Database design and integration of systems and makes recommendations for enhancements or improvements -Monitor transaction activity and utilization, with particular strengths in performance tuning highly transactional databases in both the development and production environments including remotely located servers -Ensure data replication is scheduled and optimized -Initiate root cause analysis and resolution for all the database and application issues -Participate in scheduled and unscheduled system maintenance -Change Management, on-call and off-hour systems support -Participate in Application recovery and Disaster Recovery practices -Maintain security standards with other database administrators and technical resources -Develop and manage data flows within the environment (archiving, business reporting, data warehouses, etc) -Design Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence platform -Interact with and mentor members of the Data Services Team, support/lead initiatives in database management, data architecture, and business intelligence areas
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications -4 year degree or above in Computer Science or other Information Technology related degree -8+ years of hands on SQL Server experience including experience with the following technologies and features: o SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008, 2008 R2 Administration
o Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2008 R2
o Deployment and operation of highly available SQL Server solution
o SQL performance analysis and tuning
o Backup and Recovery/ Capacity planning
