Oil States is currently looking for qualified candidates for the Director of Operations for our Tulsa, Oklahoma facility. _The Director of Operations position will be viewed as a stepping stone to the facility's General Manager position._

POSITION SUMMARY:

Plan, direct and control operations and processes of the Oil States Tulsa facilities. Design, implement and manage strategic systems and processes in the areas of Materials Management, Scheduling, Purchasing, Work order control, and Manufacturing Operations for the Tulsa Business Unit. Provide responsible strategic direction to address the internal day-to-day operational needs of the Tulsa Leadership Team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*

Ultimately responsible for quality shipments of products and services while meeting Key Performance Indicators with the goal of increasing efficiency, productivity and achieving profitability targets.
*

Develop and execute the strategic and tactical business operations and manufacturing plans for the Tulsa Business Unit.
*

Direct and control the allocation of human and financial resources as appropriate to ensure business objectives are achieved.
*

Direct all operations and collaborate with support departments to ensure the product meets customer requirements, in house workmanship standards, and industry criteria.
*

Develop and communicate Performance Expectations for the Operations Management Team and measure success against the quarterly standards.
*

Support an employee-oriented culture that emphasizes continuous improvement, team-work, high performance and quality.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*

Perform General Manager Duties in his/her absence.
*

Direct the Manufacturing Engineering function to continually improve processes and plant layout while managing the Capacity Planning and Scheduling for the Manufacturing Operations of Tulsa.
*

Lead and coordinate cross functional business segments to achieve on-time project delivery of the highest quality products with emphasis on health, safety and the environment.
*

Develop and manage operational budgets that include Demand Forecast data received from the Sales Department.
*

Perform economic analysis for Return on Investment to justify Capital Expenditures.
*

Hire and retain top quality employees and develop the proper departmental structure to support organizational strategic and tactical objectives.
*

Conduct performance reviews with employees to monitor and improve employee attitudes, productivity, and performance outcomes.
*

Maintain the highest integrity and approachability in business activities to represent the company in a positive manner at all times.
*

Ensure that every aspect of Tulsa Operations incorporates the vision, values, and culture of the organization.
*

Participate as a senior management team member in weekly Management Meetings in order to develop and discuss organizational objectives.
*

Provide planning and review data for monthly, quarterly, and annual operation plans
*

Assist the General Manager with presentation materials and presenting as directed.
*

Work additional hours as needed in order to direct sufficient resources to meet commitments without over stressing resources.
*

All other duties and tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

*

Ten years progressive Manufacturing Operations experiencerequired. Preferably in an Engineered to Order environment.
*

Bachelor's degree in IndustrialEngineering, Business Administration or related field or equivalent.
*

Masters of Business Administration with emphasis in Operations Management, Business Administration or Finance is a plus.
*

Experience having direct reporting relationships of the Human Resources, Finance, Quality, Sales and/or Marketing functions is a plus.
*

Experience in Lean Manufacturing is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

*

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
*

Able to climb stairs.
*
