Our client is looking for a stellar Sr. Director of Product Marketing to lead their Casual Category team. This position will be responsible for developing and delivering the go to market plan for the Casual category, including revenue goals, and the marketing, sales and product strategies to achieve them -- first in the US, then globally. The position requires a combination of strategic planning, marketing execution, product prioritization and cross-functional team leadership.
Acting as the market owner of our Casual category, a typical day will require analytical rigor, multi-channel marketing planning and execution, product feature prioritization, and cross-functional team leadership. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of product marketing, and software as a service for small businesses. We're looking for a passionate and influential leader with the heart of an entrepreneur who can help us rapidly build a dominant position in this critical category.
Acting as the general manager of the category, provide leadership to a cross-functional team including marketing, sales and product management.
Establish near and long term business goals and drive the global Go-to-market plan.
Drive marketing plans and product priorities to accelerate our penetration of this multi-billion dollar category in the US and internationally.
Work with product managers to define and prioritize features and functionality to super-serve casual restaurants, and drive diner engagement with Online Waitlist.
Deliver business results and grow customer lifetime value.
Develop competitive and customer insights based on data analysis and customer engagement. Develop a deep understanding of casual restaurants, how they think and the role technology can play in helping them be more successful.
Work with the pricing analyst to develop pricing and promotion strategies that drive adoption and deliver revenue goals.
Build an onboarding experience across the restaurant customer lifecycle that drives awareness, adoption and engagement.
Develop and execute consumer and B2B marketing plans in collaboration with channel marketers, including PR, social media, online, email marketing, demand gen and events.
Self-starter and proactive marketing leader with 15+ years of experience in software as a service, or marketplace companies. Consulting experience is a plus.
10+ years' experience managing people and cross-functional teams.
Data and analytics driven marketer and business leader.
Stellar verbal and written communication skills.
Proven success leading cross-functional relationships across marketing, brand, legal, engineering & product management organizations.
Flexible, with the ability to manage priorities in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment.
Experience developing and executing integrated marketing plans aimed at influencing consumer and B2B audiences.
Understand all components of pricing, customer acquisition, retention, renewal, and upgrade within a subscription model business.
Proven ability to grow a line of business, and experience managing budgets and resources effectively.
Restaurant knowledge/experience is a plus. Passion for restaurants and dining is required.
Consulting experience and/or an MBA is very desirable.
