The primary role of the Sr. Engineering Supervisor is to support the Sr. AME Manager in the overall industrialization of existing and future products. Interact with sales, program management and operations to understand and maintain the North American Slip Control Systems capacity picture. Additionally to serve as single point contact for new Capital estimates as it relates to business case inputs. Finally, to research both new processing techniques as well as "make" costs for potential new components.
*Direct cross-functional workshops related to industrialization
*Responsible for managing NA SCS capacity planning.
*Develop and/or evolve existing capacity planning tools, especially to streamline the process and make it available to others in the group/operations..
*Manage CAPEX estimates to be used in business cases, acting as main contact for estimate communication with corporate staff as well as customers.
*Create organized repository of estimates, including a standard process for creating an official estimate.
*Investigate new process techniques that could be applied to future SCS products for quality or cost improvements.
*Manage special projects as required.
*Update and own the NA SCS General Equipment specification and related common specifications.
*Liaison to Product Engineering
*Lead or participate in special cross-functional teams or in site-specific initiatives
*Ability to travel 10% - 20% regionally and internationally
*Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely related field.
*7+ years progressive experience in roles related to both manufacturing engineering and program management.
*Knowledge of materials, processes and product coupled with specialized expertise in quality principles and theory, statistical methods and design experiments.
*Knowledge of PPAP & APQP.
CANDIDATE MUST HAVE : Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, 7+ years in roles related both to manufacturing and program management.
