- The primary job responsibilities include all or a subset of the following finance & accounting support activities:
- Budget & financial close activities for the division your finance team supports:o Long-range, annual & quarterly budget setting (revenue, OpEx, headcount & CapEx)o Month-end financial close including variance analysis & associated commentaryo Tracking & analysis of headcount changes from period-to-period.o Providing financial analysis & accounting support for specifically assigned operational managers
- The development and publish divisional operational performance reports & metrics that assist VPs in assessing performance and investment priorities.
- Ensuring that inventory values are properly represented in the GL (setting standard costs, validating unit quantities, capturing inventory reserves)
- Ensuring that COGS are recognized in the proper period including variances, period costs and necessary accruals.
- The development of detailed financial analyses supporting investment decisions regarding current and proposed alternative product development options. This work will entail working through a cross functional team to develop forecasts for revenue, product unit costs, gross margins, development costs and SGA costs to be incorporated into a comprehensive ROI analysis.
- The development of ad hoc financial analyses to support general business & capital investment decisions.
- Generate finance efficiencies by streamlining processes and automating routine tasks.
- These positions will have heavy interaction between finance teams that support the various operational divisions across the Company as well as the Corporate Finance and Analysis Department and Corporate Controller.
- The following are the desired candidate qualifications: MBA from a top ranked & nationally recognized business school is requiredBA/BS in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics or engineering field is requiredStrong academic achievement (i.e. GPA) at the undergraduate and graduate level is required3-5 years practical work experience prior to graduate school is requiredStrong problem solving & critical thinking skills are requiredStrong analytical techniques and modeling skills are required (Excel)Effective verbal and visual presentation skills are required (PowerPoint) Ability to work within a dynamic cross-functional team environment is requiredPositive attitude and strong personal desire to make a difference is required Demonstrated extracurricular involvement is desired (i.e. volunteer work, student council, etc )
