Comcast Spotlight is the advertising sales division of Comcast Cable. Our mission is to harness the enormous impact of cable television on behalf of our advertisers. Comcast Spotlight serves 90+ of the nation's 210 designated market areas - including eight of the top 10 television markets. Comcast Spotlight's goal is to make cable television easy to buy, and to enhance the value of spot television via new technologies. The Senior HR Manager assumes the role of the lead HR partner for the California Region. This key member of the leadership team is responsible for setting direction, embracing and incorporating the Human Resources strategy set for the West Division. The major areas covered are employee engagement, organizational planning, staffing, organizational development, performance management, talent management, diversity, employee relations, and compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws. This role is responsible for the development and integration of human resource programs and associated projects to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives. - Work with Regional VP and leadership to create a high performing culture across the region focused on open communication, maximizing talent and driving high levels of service to internal and external customers.- Work closely with leaders to understand their specific human resource related needs and work with them to develop and implement solutions to best support their goals and remain in alignment with the expectations of the overall organization regarding human resource policies and procedures- Provide HR business support, guidance and direction to senior leadership team to achieve business goals and objectives for the Region- Direct HR workflow within Region while coaching and mentoring the HR team to maximize performance and development- Develop and implement effective performance management and talent management strategies - Identifying new business strategies to grow both people and revenue- Continue to improve and upgrade HR function through knowledge, experience, and 'best practice' philosophy- Strategize and influence compensation plans for the Region. This will be done in conjunction with the RVP, Regional Finance Manager, Division Finance and Division HR.- Provide advice and consultation on complex employee relations matters- Lead managers and supervisors through employee counseling and corrective action; advise management of the appropriate resolution of employee relations issues- Conduct investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth - Create an environment that encourages open communication, sharing ideas and best practices and building strong cross-functional relationships Required Skills: - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent in HR Management or related field. - Demonstrated mastery in HR (min 7 yrs) and in managing an HR organization, with virtual teams- Strong understanding of California employment law required- PHR or SPHR preferred - A balance of strategic perspective and tactical (hands on) focus are requisite for success in this position.- Strong level of interpersonal and political savvy with demonstrated capability to interface and build relationships with Sr. Executives, middle managers and frontline employees in a team oriented environment- Professional credibility is paramount in this role- Demonstrated personal credibility through accuracy, consistency, meeting commitments, interpersonal skills, confronting appropriately, integrity, thinking outside the box, and confidentiality- Strong operational and field experience committing time to best understand the business and how to effectively compete in the market through a customer centric workforce- Must have strong change management skills including problem solving, creating meaning, innovation and transformation, relationship influence, and role influence- Strong project management and analytical skills- Strong business acumen, including financial capability, strategic capability, and technological capability- Previous leadership experience in a midsize to large organization required.- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills- Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving and organizational abilities- Ability to make informed decisions and choices based upon priority, business necessity and bottom line impact- Results-and people-oriented, sound judgment and ability to balance business considerations - Ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities- Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, project management and investigative skills- Demonstrated expertise designing, managing and evaluating HR programs- Ability to provide excellent, timely customer service in a fast paced environment- SAP experience a plusComcast is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action/Drug-free workplace employer.
