Job Description

We are currently seeking a Sr. HVAC Technician Chiller / Building Controls for our team in Port St. Lucie, FL.

Position Summary:

*

The Chiller Controls Technician will perform chiller annual preventive maintenance work within a given geographic territory. This will include hands-on work to complete the necessary work within Jones Lang LaSalle standards and guidelines.
*

A focus of the position is identification and implementation of energy savings opportunities within a geographic territory.
*

Quality control audits and inspections will be conducted throughout the territory and production of deficiency reports provided to supervisors.
*

Technical assistance, support in advanced troubleshooting, and hands-on repair guidance will be required in support of teams within a territory.
*

The position will also include hands-on repair and maintenance work on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building automation systems, card access systems, door and gates systems, building envelope systems, grounds and parking lots, interior finish systems, lighting systems, and various other R & M tasks associated with operation of a commercial property.

Essential Functions:

*

Perform preventive maintenance and repair service work on HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and various other building systems to maintain the properties in peak operational condition.
*

Conduct energy audits to identify where system and operational changes can be made to decrease the property s energy consumption.
*

Perform annual service work on chillers, cooling towers, and pump systems to optimize operation of systems.
*

Conduct building evaluations and make recommendations so operational improvements can be incorporated.
*

The Chiller Technician also effortlessly performs routine building maintenance, plumbing and janitorial tasks as necessary.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA):

*

Possess hands on skills and knowledge to complete required repairs and maintenance on commercial HVAC systems (including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, motors, air handlers, automation/controls systems, and associated electrical systems) using industry standard tools and in accordance with all codes, laws, and regulations.
*

Possess knowledge of codes, laws, and regulations affecting commercial real estate operations with the ability to articulate any deficiencies and make recommendations to remedy such deficiencies.
*

Ability to effectively use computers and computer programs (including use of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook), skill in use of the Internet to navigate to and use web based applications, and ability to use handheld electronic devices (Smartphone, Tablet PC, Blackberry, etc.).
*

Possess excellent communications skills, in both written and verbal.
*

Ability to effectively manage diverse relationships with team members, contractors, clients, and customers.
*

Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
*

Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
