Challenging career position for a Sr. Human Resources Manager in a local, growing manufacturing company located in Bakersfield, Ca. The Senior Human Resource Manager role is a multi-faceted and critical role that supports the company business unit. The position serves as the on-site HR Lead for the Bakersfield and provides guidance to three other facilities. The position is responsible for managing the human resources strategies and functions to support the business strategy and operating plans to include: employee relations, compliance, performance management, training and development. The position also will provide HR Business Partner support to the following functions; Operations, Warehouse, Agriculture, Sales & Customer Management will work in partnership with the Talent Acquisition Manager to assist with the recruitment function.
?Responsible for Employee Relations and Compliance, and act as the principle expert in providing advice and counsel to employees and management on HR policies and practices, often involving highly difficult or sensitive human relations matters. This includes ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and company policies, procedures, and regulations for multiple markets. ?Designs and directs a process of Organization Development to addresses key employee retention/engagement strategies, organization design, and change management. ?Create strategies to develop and train ?next level of leadership? in the organization in anticipation of future demands of the business. ?Partner with customers to establish strategic group HR plans. ?Continually improve and manage annual Performance Management process including employee training and coaching, performance appraisal and personnel development planning ?Support divisional human resources to address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns, leveraging knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, affirmative action guidelines, and employment laws ?Conduct needs analysis, develop, benchmark, pilot, and implement related HR programs to meet those needs. Analyze and implement company-wide initiatives based on solid analysis of root cause issues with the ability to critically assess the effectiveness of new or revised programs. ?Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads ?Prepare and maintain employment records related to events such as termination, leaves, transfers, etc using the human resource management system ?Interpret and explain human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations ?Perform other duties as assigned Prefer individual with over 5 years experience as a Human Resource Generalist/Manager. Manufacturing background is a strong plus. Ideal candidate will have great communication/leadership skills, have a four year degree and be driven to learn more in the human resources field.
