JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Summary
Design, document and troubleshoot the companys existing applications. Develop applications on the internal company network to automate an existing business process and improve others. Provide on-going application support for reported problems throughout the software development life cycle. Responsible for continuous software application evolution to drive and enable greater business value.
Key Duties & Responsibilities (in decreasing Critical Emphasis order)
1 Serve as Team Lead in developing and documenting software applications on the Web to automate a process and support the business in their needs.
2 Ensure applications conform to architectural and coding standards.
3 Mentor Junior developers, guiding their day to day responsibilities and coaching them with application challenges.
4 Responsible for cost-effective delivery of software applications, including the optimal selection of implementation technologies, practices and skills for application delivery success
5 Integrate application solutions into the broader business and IT ecosystem in which it will operate.
6 Work directly with business sponsors, module leads and end user to identify and document system requirements including functional requirements for new systems development or acquisition, and enhancements or modifications to existing applications.
7 Participate in source code control and software release activities as required.
8 Develop business and data process flow models to support and reflect current and proposed requirements processes. Identify options for consideration to improve data flow, security, performance and effectiveness of software or systems.
9 Develop intuitive user interfaces to applications that use known Web standards.
10 Provide analytical and functional support for more than one business mega process
11 Provide on-demand problem analysis and resolution identification for user reported applications problems.
12 Work with end users to understand needs, provide status updates, and ensure the solution meets their needs.
13 Maintain and enhance performance of new and existing business processes and workflows across the organization.
14 Field incoming problem tickets from end users to resolve application and software issues within servers, databases, and other mission-critical systems.
15 Work on individual projects and resolve/respond to helpdesk tickets.
16 Collaborate with the appropriate IT technical staff on patching schedule, identifying functional changes and troubleshooting software and database issues impacting the functional users.
17 Conduct presentations/demonstrations if necessary.
5 Years experience in PeopleSoft Development, Application Designer, Application Engine, SQR, SQL, PS Query, in a PeopleSoft 9.X HCM Environment. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in requirements solicitation and facilitation desirable. 6 to 9 years of business system experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of MS Office. Ability to work independently and handle multiple assignments concurrently. Knowledgeable in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flowcharts. Able to exercise judgment and take action on it. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to influence others to achieve results.
BS degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent.
5 years of PeopleSoft experience.
