Sr. Instrumentation Engineer

The role is the engineering representative responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory codes for instrumentation and controls work in the East of Rockies region. Provides assurance for integrity of existing instrumentation and controls infrastructure. Serves as the technical representative on projects and maintenance teams working on I&E infrastructure. The role is subject to emergency call out.

-Provides Electrical I&E Engineering technical leadership to the PU level in the implementation of BU technical processes and practices that assure the reliability, operability, integrity of facilities.

-Provide Instrumentation and Controls technical review and design/guidance/services for USPL East of Rockies performance unit operations and projects.

-Develop in-house, contract, and vendor resources for use at the local level (Performance Unit, PU) that provide high standards of technical and engineering support, focused on instrumentation, controls, and automation.

-Effectively leverage in-house staff and external contractors to ensure minimum standards are met.

-Set minimum expectations for related discipline contractors used by USPL.

-Network with USPL peers and Instrumentation / Electrical Engineering TA's to share learnings, and to assure electrical designs, equipment, and procedures are fit for purpose and implemented within Company, Industry, and Regulatory standards and specifications.

Bachelor's Degree or higher in electrical engineering.

- 8+ years in instrumentation supporting production operations

- Pipeine, Terminal, Refinery or Chemical Experience required

- Valid drivers license
