Job Description
SmartIT is actively seeking a Sr. Java Developer for a positions located in Columbus, OH.
Job Title:
Sr. Java Developer
Description: This position works directly with business units/subject matter expert (SME) to translate user requirements into system specifications.
Analyze, design, develop and maintain applications. Manage workload and resources by planning, organizing and delegating to meet deadlines.
Prepare test plans and develop an understanding of technical and business processes.
Must have excellent communication (oral / written), problem solving and decision making skills. Must be customer service oriented and a team player.
Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree or higher in MIS or Computer Science, 5+ years E-Business solutions,
IBM or Java certifications preferred.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook)
Required Skills:
Automated Unit Testing, Design Patterns, EJB, HTML, J2EE/JEE, Java, Javascript, JSP, JDBC, RDMS/SQL, Version Control, Web Services, XML, XSLT - DB/2, JUnit, Websphere
Desired Skills: Agile Methodology, BPM, CICS Web Services, JCL, SOA, LDAP
