Designs, plans, and implements LINUX-based solutions of any complexity. Has detailed technical knowledge of LINUX performance metrics and has ability to identify and correct improperly configured or poorly performing subsystems. Has detailed knowledge of at least one LINUX shell and/or Perl and has ability to write and implement scripts of increasing complexity. Provide support to applications developers, Operations, and end-users when required. Provide technical analysis of problems as assigned by management. Provide LINUX consulting and technical expertise to other members of the Information Technology Division. Mentor junior members of the Technical Services to enhance their understanding and abilities to support the Unix environment. Has detailed knowledge of LINUX security and can recommend, implement, and audit LINUX security parameters. Develop and maintain LINUX system technical standards. Has good knowledge of LINUX vendor hardware and software offerings, and can make recommendations

? Has detailed technical knowledge of Red Hat LINUX performance metrics and has ability to identify and correct improperly configured or poorly performing subsystems.
? Has detailed knowledge of at least one Red Hat LINUX shell and/or Perl and has ability to write and implement scripts of increasing complexity.
? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
? Need to be comfortable working inside the Red Hat LINUX 6.5 (or newer) operating system in a heavy virtualized server environment (VMWare 5.5 with DRS, HA, and FT)
? Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks and manage multiple and changing priorities.
? Ability to work as a member of a team or independently as requested.
? Knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts such as n-tier applications, clustered environments, and distributed computing.
? Ability to troubleshoot and fix application environment issues.
? Knowledge of Red Hat LINUX operating system components and subsystems, including knowledge of proper subsystem configuration.
? Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and network hardware, and has ability to diagnose RED HAT LINUX network problems of increasing complexity.
? Has detailed knowledge of data center operations concepts and change control procedures.
