JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Job Summary
The Corporate Development Senior Manager is a position reporting into the Vice President of Corporate Development. The individual will be involved in developing and implementing corporate strategy, including strategic planning, strategic procurement negotiations, market analysis, mergers & acquisitions, strategic venture capital investments, and special projects. Essential responsibilities will involve developing and presenting to senior management both organic and inorganic business strategy proposals, including overall recommendation and strategic rationale. This individual will actively participate in all aspects of the corporate development process including outreach and sourcing, qualification, market research, competitive analysis (business and financial), due diligence, deal execution and post-deal integration taking a holistic, cross-functional approach.
This is a high impact role with significant exposure to NetApp executive staff.
* Support VP and other senior leaders in driving the development of NetApp s corporate vision, strategy, and long-term strategic priorities
* Structure and lead complex strategic projects. Facilitate cross-functional teams, engage and communicate with Senior Management. Support strategy projects into the execution phase
*Lead or contribute to cross-functional strategic initiatives.
*Work with line business leaders to develop strategies and scenario analysis for growth and investment strategies.
*Provide initiative analysis in support of Company s portfolio of strategic opportunities.
M&A Transaction Execution
* Identify opportunities for new products and technology by maintaining a high level of contact with technology companies, consultants, venture investors, and other external sources
*Participate in the negotiations, working with the legal, finance staff to assess and accommodate requirements and finalize formal agreements
*Participate (in some cases lead) the due diligence activities and integration planning/execution
Job Requirements * 4-6 years work experience in corporate development
*Strategy consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy experience
* Expertise in creating, driving, and executing solutions by defining all elements from strategy through market implementation
*Ability to think strategically
*Internally motivated self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity
*Ability to plan, organize and establish priorities to meet goals
*Must be able to work under deadlines to meet objectives and be able to handle multiple tasks
*Very strong quantitative analysis skills
*Strong verbal and written communication skills
*Strong influence management skills across different levels
Deep storage industry and related technology architecture knowledge a strong plus
Education and Experience
Education & Experience:
- A minimum of 12 total years of experience is required.
BS in a technical or engineering discipline (ideally Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, MBA desirable)
