Position Overview
This is a senior manager role leading a team of 4 - 6 global marketing communications (MC) professionals in the strategic MC planning process and the content strategy and development process for the ~$3B global company

Job Responsibilities
Lead and closely collaborate with planning & content team members on the development and execution of communications plans and content strategies.
- Working with individual team members, develop communication plans for key segments within the company's 10 global business units and key regions
- Oversee and participate in the execution of the communications plans
--Working with MC team members, develop content strategies for the company and for key business segments, initiatives or regions
--Oversee and participate in the execution of the content strategies including content development
-- Lead team's collaboration with the digital marketing team to leverage digital expertise and input into communication plans and content strategies as well as identification of channels of information distribution
--Ensure deep knowledge of business segments, their growth opportunities, impediments to growth, competitive landscape, and opportunities to leverage communications activities to drive growth; work with global team members to understand the regional nuances affecting those issues
--Manage the team's execution of ready-to-serve projects including literature, tradeshow support and brand compliance
-- Identify and develop initiatives to drive efficiency and consistentcy of communications tools and channels including templates, portals and processes

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 10 - 15 years marketing communications experience required
Strong communications strategist / planner with an ability to understand a business landscape and create programs to drive growth accordingly
Skilled in content development; superlative writing skills
Broad experience in communications strategies and tactics in both traditional and digital channels
Experience managing junior and mid-level professionals both locally and globally; experience managing across regions, cultures and time zones; ability to be coach/player
Strong inter-personal, influence and presentation skills
Ability to work independently in a highly matrixed environment
Self-starter with a pro-active approach
Team Player and collaborator across functions and regions
Strong project management skills & ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Well-organized and detail-oriented
Ability to work with executives at all levels, strong executive presence, presentation skills, communication skills and persuasion skills

Preferred Qualifications
Experienced in B2B and B2C marketing
Experience in chemical, industrial, technical industries preferred
Experience working at a global company, interfacing with stakeholders globally
Agency experience a plus

Education Requirements
BA/BS in Journalism, Communications or Marketing
