JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Responsibilities:The Sr. Ecommerce Product Manager is responsible for translating and managing the feature development based on a deep understanding of a customer's needs. Responsible for the day-to-day management of Ecommerce products and services (i.e., capabilities, features and functions) which support the customer's overall web experience. The incumbent will conduct competitive research and analysis to develop the product roadmap. The Sr. Ecommerce Product Manager is responsible for the continued development of Office Depot Ecommerce properties and related mobile and multi-channel experiences. She/he will direct the development of strategy and product roadmap for assigned business segment (corporate, contract, retail, or services). This position is responsible for executing websites and multi-channel initiatives corporate wide to maximize revenue, profits and our customers' experience for assigned business segment. Work cross-functionally and with senior leadership to ensure efficient and effective execution of strategy and roadmap Qualifications:Bachelors degree or equivalent and 7 years related experience Other Information:The Sr. Manager, Mobile role will be responsible for providing technical and frontline managerial support to ECommerce Agile Development Teams supporting our mobile websites, iOS applications, and Android applications. Major Responsibilities:
? Working together with technical architects, development managers, business owners, project managers and testing teams in the delivery of business objectives
? Assess the business and organization implications of key application technology alternatives for wideimpact initiatives? mapping requirement to a software solution in accordance with the overall architecture of the system? recommend appropriate strategic action.
? Guides the development team in overall application technology design activities and innovation? grow the development team in terms of knowledge and understanding of the systems and best practices in software development practices.
? Selfstarter with excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
? Effectively drive crossteam solutions that have complex dependencies and requirements.
? Manage and conduct Design and Code reviews in partnership with Architecture team ensuring code quality and application performance
? Work closely with business partners and customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions. Responsible for project estimation and putting together execution plans.
? Manage and develop the team, including hiring, goal setting, performance management, coaching, projects and training. Work with team members to develop career paths and opportunities within the organization. Foster growth and skill acquisition/development for the team leads. Provide a creative environment where challenges are embraced and where difficult tasks are valued.
? Manage project timelines and budget, responsible for application/system, including scopes, timelines, dependencies and deliverables? Assign work to resources and responsible for the allocation and movement of resources from project to project. Work with the team in the followup of the execution of the project.
? Be the point person for escalations and serve as the domain expert of the application/system. This is essential for oncall situations and escalations, as well as knowing the functionality and constraints of the system when defining product specifications.
3+years of experience managing agile development teams comprising of 1015 Java/JEE, UI, iOS, and Android developers.
? 7-8or more years of eCommerce and/or software product development experience. Demonstrated indepth experience with eCommerce and web application technologies, especially in the areas of implementing & managing high performance, reliable and maintainable code.
? 5+years of experience with Java, JEE, Objectoriented design principles, JSP, Struts, AJAX, and HTML ? Five or more years of experience in iOS and Android mobile platforms ? Must have experience in objectoriented analysis, design and programming, tier components, (JDBC, Servlets, JMS, JNDI etc), Java/JEE design patterns, and/OR Web Services using JAXRPC/JAXRS
? Experience working with REST services
? Hands on experience working with version control SVN, Git, CVS.
? Deep understanding of service oriented software architecture and design issues.
? Experience working in fast paced, challenging and agile environments preferably SCRUM
? Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
