This role is for one of the most exciting and new technology areas at Riverbed, focusing on enterprise infrastructure. SteelFusion is a disruptive hyper-converged solution, that is redefining the way enterprises and organizations manage distributed IT, delivering unprecedented data security, application performance, business continuity and agility to the business.
This product or solution marketing leader, will be responsible for developing a solid foundation for our go to market channels, and will have the opportunity to work with internal and external leaders to build measurable results.
ABOUT THIS POSITION:
As a part of a growing team, the ideal person for this role will have a background working for a larger technology company, and will have experience marketing infrastructure leaders and enterprise architects. An understanding of infrastructure technologies such as storage, virtualization and cloud technologies at a high level is optimal. The ideal candidate is a great communicator with diverse experiences in different ways of spreading a message, is a creative thinker, a proactive team player, and may also have a background that touches channel and/or OEM marketing, and industry marketing concepts.
Developing, and delivering relevant messaging, enablement, end-user and channel facing collateral for SteelFusion, and related solutions will be expected. The person in this role may also be responsible for developing creative blogs, and creative marketing tools that help tell an engaging story to a specific audience; and will similarly enable the field and specific channels to sell higher in their accounts. Establishing a measureable following within the targeted internal and external communities will also be a key deliverable, so this role could ultimately provide the right candidate with quite a bit of exposure on a global scale.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
The ideal candidates have:
A background in marketing to senior-level IT and business leaders.
A background that includes server virtualization and/or storage technologies
An appreciation for or previous work with OEM and/or channels.
The ability to demonstrate an understanding of how marketing technology to lines of business in different industries can be very different than marketing to IT siloes.
Excellent communication skills, creative writing and PowerPoint skills; the ability to demonstrate evidence of written and PowerPoint-developed content, specific to more technical audiences.
An interest in coming up with creative ideas, gaining buy-in, and executing on them quickly.
