A high-growth Medical Device company in the cardiovascular segment is making plans to commercialize a series of game-changing products and is now expanding their global marketing team. Their proprietary technology is used by medical and interventional cardiologists to treat a range of cardiovascular conditions, and their products also feature a novel inventory tracking device that provides dramatic cost savings to hospitals and payers.
They are creating two new upstream, global marketing positions focused on long-term strategic planning and product road-mapping. They are high-profile roles that will require significant leadership and routine interaction with the executive team. This is a dynamic, exciting work environment and their teams have unusually strong personal chemistry. The Senior Manager of Global Marketing will be responsible for providing commercial direction to guide new product development activities in the cardiovascular market. You will be the Franchise Leader and be responsible for representing the Voice of the Customer with core product development teams. Duties include defining user requirements, developing target product profiles, and serving as the commercial lead on cross-functional teams. We need someone strong in market research, analytics, forecasting, modeling, positioning, and market segmentation. This is a broadly defined role in which you will "wear a lot of hats" and we need a strategist who is also able to execute tactically.
This new technology is clinically superior to competitive brands in the cardiovascular space, so your challenge will be to create awareness and expand the market, rather than shifting market share. You will work closely with Key Opinion Leaders in the cardiology and vascular community to develop them as advocates for new technology, and also coordinate closely with counterparts in downstream marketing to plan and execute product launches. You will help Country Manager counterparts adapt your global strategy to their local and regional marketplace needs, and assist in ongoing product lifecycle planning after launch. Their rapidly expanding organization means there are significant opportunities for career development and advancement. Overnight travel is estimated at 20%.
The successful candidate will have the following qualities:
* 5+ years of total Medical Technology industry experience
* 3+ years of upstream marketing and pipeline planning, including product launch experience
* A Bachelor's Degree or better is required; as is an MBA or similar advanced degree
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to help set a vision for the future of the marketing organization
The industry-leading compensation plan includes base salary plus incentive-plan bonus, along with an expanded benefits package.
This position will be based in the San Francisco Bay area (East Bay). Financial assistance is available for relocation support.
