span Our client located in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to assist in the development of network infrastructure, network security policies and other network/security related features. You will be part of a team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives. br   br RESPONSIBILITIES br   br • Maintaining, deploying and configuring network equipment br • Working with a team of Network Engineers to manage and improve existing infrastructure to reflect constant technological changes and threats. br • Designing and directing system installations and migrations within Local and Wide Area Network environments. br • Defining, documenting, and enforcing network security standards. br • Assisting in the maintenance and troubleshooting of network communications. br • Working within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure. br • Testing and evaluating new network and security systems. br • Selection and implementation of security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team. br • Identify security issues, develop mitigation plans and participate in large scale security compliance efforts. br   br Qualifications: br   br • A minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in a Network Engineering with in-depth knowledge of deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, F5 load balancers, Cisco UCS, Fiber fabric and MPLS. br • CCNP or above highly valued. br • Solid understanding of the OSI model, and deep understanding of networking protocols such as IPSEC, DMVPN, HSRP, VSS, VPC, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and VRF. br • Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools. br • Working knowledge of load-balancers, next-gen firewalls, NAC and various IPS/IDS systems. br • Able to work in high-pressure environments, supporting critical on-air broadcast systems. br • Clear communication skills in technical facets to non-technical people. br • Reporting and managing security alerts, response and root cause analysis. br • Vulnerability testing highly valued. Penetration testing experience is a plus. br   br   br /span
