Job Description Sr. New Product Introduction Engineer is ultimately responsible to co-design a product from a concept to GA; and transition the product to sustaining group. Candidate needs to work directly with HW Engineering and Product groups to provide design inputs from Operations point view, to deliver a manufacturable, high quality, product; drive all DFx to their resolutions; work with Manufacturing Test Engineering group to develop Manufacturing test strategies; work with Blue Coat s manufacturing partners and suppliers to develop manufacturing processes. The goal is to design a product that s manufacture-able; which provides the highest quality to Blue Coat s customers. Functional expectations include; but not limited:
Conduct DFx; both from PCBA and Mechanical design perspective
Develop manufacturing test requirement document; work with TE to develop diagnostics and test automation to support the DVT and PVT build
Lead a cross-functional team to design efficient, effective, flexible and cost effective manufacturing processes; ensure all manufacturing process and test equipment is ready for mass production
Setup quality, process expectations with Blue Coat s manufacturing partners and suppliers
Construct BOMs; document processes
Be a team player to work with cross-functional team member at Core Team
Manufacturing engineering experience in a high tech environment
Understanding SPC tools
Travel is required (~15%)

Hands-on experience with server alike hardware architecture design
Excellent process documentation and report writing skill
Proficient user of Product Lifecycle Management tool (Agile PLM or equivalent)
Experience on developing NPI build plan and drive build schedule
Strong analytical skills; demonstrated ability to perform RCCA and to drive an issue to its resolution
Able to multi-task multiple projects and keep them under control
be creative to challenge and improve pre-existing processes
BS Engineering (Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering)

Valuable background and experiences include:
Server based architecture experience
Test Engineering background; understanding of BUS architecture, power subsystems, chipsets, BMC, I/O systems, storage technology (SATA, SCSI, SSD), ROM/BIOS, CMOS, PCI and SSL
X86 debug and troubleshooting experience on enterprise class servers
Supplier management, supplier quality and scorecards
Global Experience.
Database or shop floor control systems experience
Formal Quality Training/Certifications
Project Management experience and/or certifications
