Job Description

Position Summary:

The Senior Space Planner will identify, coordinate, plan space and programming services on multiple projects as assigned. The Senior Space Planner leads plan move activities at designated client sites.

Responsibilities (* indicates Essentials Duties):

Proficiently develop space and migration strategies on an enterprise-wide basis.*

Lead team to develop move plans with space assignments, occupancy plans, cabling requirements, IT requirements and construction requirements.*

Project manager for complex and/or multiple client projects.*

Lead and facilitate regular client space solution meetings.*

Facilitate resolution of space and facility issues.*

Develop and monitors cost estimates and timelines for projects.*

Monitor layout, design, and space plan of facilities in relation to the move plan.*

Apply advanced methods of space design and planning.*

Maintain outstanding relationships with vendors and customers to understand requirements and monitor in relation to cost, quality, and schedules.*

Apply data and metrics that are important to client and BRG success; gather and track accordingly.*

Coordinate with client and associates to determine furniture requirements, bill of materials and furniture product availability.*

Lead development of detailed design layouts of new and existing office space and furniture.*

Develops and documents space and furniture standards.

Work with vendors, engineering consultants, contractors and various departments to coordinate project completion.*

Manage vendor relationships and holds vendor accountable for contract compliance.*

May input and maintain facilities plans on AutoCAD.

Conduct building audits to verify that employee locations, furniture layout and room configurations are correctly noted on floor plans. *

Monitors and assures compliance with government and site building codes and regulations.*

Client-specific requirements, including particular software, systems, and processes.*

May train, develop, and evaluate BRG associates.*

Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Required

Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Office, Visio, and CAFM/IWMS applications.

Advanced project management skills, including proficiency with MS Project.

Excellent customer service acumen and interpersonal relationship skills.

B.S. or B.A. in related discipline or related experience.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, including advanced negotiation skills, influencing skills, and presentation skills.

Experience leading cross functional project teams.

Strong organizational skills.

Strong and proven technical aptitude.

Willingness to take ownership of requests; prioritize and meet deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and quality.

5 or more years of professional experience in facilities planning, furniture project management, furniture design or interior design.

Advanced understanding of move requirements, reconfiguration processes, furniture standards, and furniture inventory management.

Thorough understanding of government requirements.

Knowledge of multiple furniture lines.

Preferred

Project Management Institute (PMI) certification.
