Position Overview

The Chemical Operations (Chem Ops) Area of the Waterford plant consists of both the East and West operating areas. The successful candidate will be considered for either Operating Area. Leadership of either Chem Ops Area will include both salaried (exempt) and hourly (union) employees. Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the Chem Ops East or West area to ensure execution of all programs, processes, and environmental, health, and safety compliance requirements (EHS) to support manufacturing.

Job Responsibilities

This includes ownership of daily operations, safety and environmental compliance requirements, and development of and execution on area operating plan, cost tracking and cost reductions. Responsibilities will include team management for projects driving overall plant execution and compliance goals and objectives, in addition to utilizing strategic vision to assess opportunities and other needs.

Minimum Qualifications

* BS Degree in Engineering

* 10+ years Chemical Manufacturing and/or Engineering experience

* Strong influencing and decision making skills

* Demonstrated leadership ability

* Strong customer focus, with experience contributing to and leading cross-functional and diverse project teams.

* Effective time management skills with ability to multitask.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including influencing skills.

* Working knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications

* Written and verbal skills to effectively communicate across engineering and craft disciplines both internally and externally.
