Conducts systems research, report generation, complete system testing in coordination with other resources regarding the overall payroll system functionality and calculation. Identifies and investigates system-wide anomalies to recommend and implement cost-effective solutions. Will take the lead investigating specific discrepancies and troubleshoot payroll issues as they arise. Reconcile non-tax related general ledger. Responsible for reports and reconciliation of retirement accounts and submissions to our retirement vendor. Create and perform system audits to ensure internal control is maintained within the department. Complete wage garnishments according to federal, state and local laws while maintaining an extensive knowledge and continuation of education for multi-state garnishment rules and guidelines. Update and maintain wage assignment rules, parameters, and deductions for garnishments, child support orders, bankruptcy orders, and state and federal tax levies and work with government agencies, courts, and issuing attorneys regarding the withholdings and subsequent payments.
3 years in analysis in finance, accounting or payroll.
