Requirements:
As our Sr. Principal Engineer, you will be working out of our Roseville or San Jose R&D facility. Your goal is to research cutting edge storage driver and virtualization technology, then prototype these new products that Emulex can develop, and bring to market.

What you must bring to the table:

- Highly proficient software development experience mostly in C and C++
- Storage driver and stack architecture, development cycle experience in Windows and/or Linux environments
- Experience with architecture, design and development of embedded firmware
- Experience developing applications/drivers for VMware, Hyper-V, Xen, and KVM.
- Experience implementing storage and/or networking applications
- Good understanding of different file systems on Windows and/or Linux (NTFS, Ext4, etc)
Extra tools at your disposable include:

- Experience in one or more scripting language (perl, python, bash).
- Good understanding of network and distributed file systems such as CIFS/NFS, GPFS, HDFS, Ceph, etc.
- Knowledge of Hadoop, MemcacheD and other popular technologies.
- Good knowledge of storage related protocols like SCSI, Fibre channel, iSCSI, FCOE, SAS and SATA.
- Good knowledge of networking protocols like Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, etc.
- Good knowledge of PCIe, x86 and ARM architecture knowledge and development experience.If this sounds like you...apply today!�
